Filming the Last Shots

     Today my group and I had our final day of filming. I met up with my team members after school and we took the bus to Rashawn's house. When we arrived we went to his room and discussed the plan for the day. It was decided that we would follow our original storyboard and improvise if we needed to. I carried the equipment and we made our way to a park near Rashawn's house.

    The park was the main location for filming. I would still play the main role of James, Rashawn was Kofi, and Hadar was the DE Agent. The first few shots were simple. I acted out the scene of James meeting Kofi at the park. 

    An issue that we experienced during the filming was the camera. I worked with Rashawn to set up the camera angles. The tripod that we had wasn't working correctly and fell over a few times. The camera ran out of battery after a few takes and we had to improvise. I took out my phone and we used it for filming. 

    Using my phone we were able to get the last shots we needed and we went back to Rashawn's place. We reviewed the footage and decided that what we had would work great. After that we all agreed to when we should work on editing the movie and combining the clips. The weekend fit with our schedules and would be the best time for editing. 

    I had an enjoyable time working with my team members to film the last shots. I had a lot of fun and I am excited to start working on the editing process.

The Rough Outline for The Music Video

     Today I began editing the video. I decided to use Adobe Premiere for the editing for two reasons. The first was because I have experience with Adobe Products and I know how to use them. The second is because I personally believe that Adobe Premiere Pro has a good layout that works great with my editing style.      Using my phone I transferred all the clips my team and I recorded onto my computer.  I took all the clips from the first day of filming and put them into a folder on my computer. The file helps to keep everything organized. It also helps with transferring the clips at a much faster rate instead of doing them all individually.       I took all the clips and put them into Premiere Pro and began looking through and deciding which ones to use. Each scene was filmed once or twice so we could have options for editing. Film: Bird Box 1. How many titles are displayed during the opening sequences to the film? Which ones? There are 11 titles displayed throughout the opening sequence. The ones included are the Name of Studio(Netflix), Actors Names(Sandra Bullock, Trevante Rhodes, Jacki Weaver, Rosa Salazar), Film Title(Bird Box),Edited by(Ben Lester), Produced by(Dylan Clark, Chris Morgan, Clayton Townsend), and Directed by(Susanne Bier).   2. What connotations do the images carry? (how do they make you feel)  The images make me feel intimidated. The text is in a white, big bold font, so I’m forced to look at it. Who am I?

       My name is Constantine Feickert, and I was born on May 29th, 2005. I lived in South Dakota for most of my life, but I moved to the state of Florida in 2018. I am currently in my Junior year of high school at Fort Lauderdale High. I am currently working towards getting the Bright Futures Scholarship so I can attend college. After high school I plan on continuing my education. My dream college that I want to go to is Florida State University. I want to major in computer programming with a minor in marketing. My plan for a future career is to work as a programmer or as a web designer. I enjoy creating websites and working with code. Another possible career option I am considering is video editing.
