Reflection on the Commercial Project

Image
My product for this commercial project was Nike brand shoes. Nike mainly advertises towards sports fans and athletes. Their shoes and clothes are designed to be used while playing sports. They use to social group of athletes in order to sell their product.     My main target audience was athletes. I designed my commercial to promote the product specifically towards athletes. I used close ups shots to show off the shoes designs, and I had shots of the shoes being used. I used a heart beat sound and the Rocky theme to better portray the feelings that athletes get. The theme song motivates athletes to work harder and improve themselves.     During this project I was new to Adobe Premiere Pro. During editing I learned more about the layout and tools used in Adobe Premiere Pro. I learned how to better edit and produce films. I also learned how to use Adobe Media Encoder in order to export my video into a suitable format.     In this project I used my iPhone 11 phone, Adobe Premiere, a

The Final Product

After a lot of hard work and effort I finally finished the commercial. The commercial took a lot of time to make but I think the finished product looked good.     This was my first time using Adobe Premiere to create a project. It turned out a lot better than I expected and I had a lot of fun.     During this project I learned more about the filming process. I also learned how to use Premiere Pro better. One issue I had during the project was adding vfx. I couldn't figure out how to add effects to the video so I ended up just adding music, sound effects, and edited it the clips together.     Overall the project was fun and I enjoyed creating it. I am excited for my future video projects and I can't wait for my future in filmmaking.

The Final Edits

I only have a few days left of my project and the stress is getting to me. I have been working on and off on the commercial for a few days but I haven’t gotten it to where I want it to be. The clock is ticking and I don’t have a lot of time left. I will need to work hard these last few days.     Most of my editing is finished. I have combined the clips and made the video look good. The only changes I need to do now is how it looks and a few sound effects.     I am not experienced when it comes to adding vfx to a video. I will took this opportunity to learn and experiment. The application I used for this project was Adobe Aftereffects. I have not used Aftereffects before this project. This project is the first time I have used Aftereffects.     For the sound effects I did some research on YouTube. I will found Nike commercials that use sound effects. I will took these commercials into consideration and began to add some sounds in.     Something common Nike does is add sounds from sp

Starting the Editing Process

Image
In class earlier today I finished up with the filming process. There was only two shots that I felt could be better.      The first shot was the closeup of my face. All I needed to do was change my expression to better portray determination.      The second shot was the shot of me going up the stairs. The first take didn’t have very good lighting. Today the sky wasn’t cloudy so there was more light outside.      Late in the day I started editing my video. When I got home from class I sat at my computer and began editing. I used adobe Premiere Pro for my edits because I have experience using Adobe.      I first put all my clips together and had a quick look through what I had. Then I started to piece together each clip. The editing wasn’t flawless but the next day I edit I can make more finer adjustments.      After combining some clips that looked good I began looking online for some songs or audio clips I could use. I decided to use the iconic Rocky theme. This song is the best wa

Today was my second day of filming for my Nike Commercial. I was supposed to film on Friday last week, but unfortunately we had an unexpected schedule change. Although this unfortunate schedule change disrupted the time I was supposed to film, it wasn’t all negative. Using the extra time I was able to review my footage more thoroughly. I was able to create a better more precise plan for todays filming.     During the second day I had much more time available to me. On the first day I only had about 30-40 minutes before I had to return. But today I had almost a full hour to film. Using this extra time I could look at the shots I took on set. This helped me to decide if I needed to retake them or not.     When I got outside the classroom it was a perfect day. There was no unexpected weather changes and the sun provided good lighting. I went back to the same set of stairs from the first day of filming. When I arrived I immediately got to work setting up my phone and deciding what sho
